Tonsilitis

Tonsillitis is caused due to bacterial or viral infection. Tonsils can be structurally described as the two masses of tissue which are present on both sides of the back side of the throat. Normally bacteria and viruses daily enter the body through the mouth and nose, and they get filtered by tonsils and Adenoids. The white blood cells of the immune system attack on the bacteria and viruses to destroy them which results in fever and inflammation.
