Hyperthyroidism

When the typhoid percentage is higher than the usual, then the situation is termed as hyperthyroidism. In this case, the thyroid gland secretes surplus amount of hormones. The hormones excreted by thyroid gland are thyroxine or T4, triiodothyronine or T3. It is the opposite of sluggish thyroid or hypothyroidism; a situation when sufficient hormones are not produced. These hormones circulate in the blood and since the amount is more, at times proper absorption does not take place.

 

The symptoms of this disease can be rarely observed. Generally, the thyroid hormone secretion level is the only symptom. Weight loss, hair loss, anxiety, irritation of heat, weakness, hypoglycemia etc are some of the clinical signs which are observed. The physical symptoms include nausea, diarrhea, loss of libido, shortness of breath. If not treated within the time it can lead to osteoporosis.
