Gall Stones

Gallstones are the crystallized stones in the gallbladder. The gallbladder is a pear-shaped small sack below the liver that contains bile. Bile is quite helpful in the process of digestion. It helps the intestine to digest fat. Gallstones are formed when the cholesterol and other things in the bile are crystallized and stop the flow of bile through the duct. Also if the gallbladder does not empty as it should do, the gallstones are formed in the gallbladder.

Gallstones are divided or classified on the basis of the types of stones formed in the gallbladder. Pigment stones and cholesterol stones are two types of gallstones. The people with liver disease and blood disease with high bilirubin are at more risk of getting affected by pigment stones. The people with high cholesterol or bilirubin level are more prone towards cholesterol stones.

Most people with gallstones have no symptoms and it becomes difficult to diagnose. Some people may exhibit the symptoms like pain in the pit of the stomach or upper right part of the belly. Pain with fever and chills, yellowing eyes and skin are some common symptoms of gallstones. Ultrasound, gallbladder scan and X-ray etc are used as its diagnostic methods. Homoeopathic treatment can easily cure the patient of gallstones if the consultation and medication are received from a competent homeopathic doctor.
